Neighbor to Neighbor Program

Welcome to your local disaster awareness group. Campo and Lake Morena have joined together to provide education and assistance to the public before and during an emergency.

Our first objective is to receive and distribute information to those in the community that desire it. We provide phone numbers and contact information to help avoid emergencies, but when emergencies occur, we want to be able to help. We conduct monthly organizational meetings and periodic training's and drills. There is no cost to join, just fill out the forms below and mail them to Sandi at PO Box 342, Campo, 91906 or bring them to our next meeting. Rest assured that the information you provide is not given to any agency, and no one outside of Neighbor to Neighbor will have it without your express permission.

During a disaster, at the earliest outset, your neighborhood representative will notify you by phone or in person as to what is recommended for you to do. Those with special needs should take action immediately. We have contact with official disaster agencies and shelters and may be able to assist some people and pets to evacuate. Remember, you are your first line of protection and should be prepared to be self-sufficient for 72 hours or more.

Our biggest natural disaster threat is wildfire. If you have not prepared for this disaster, call Craig Williams, Campo Fire, 478-2505 for information. Severe rain can cause flooding in some areas and extreme weather can have adverse effects on the young, sick or elderly. Don't be fooled into believing that just because it hasn't happened before it won't happen here. As a community, we all need to help each other, and to ask for help when we need it.
